WeBuildIt 2.0 was the final product of my internship at Imavex. I designed a digital design database that fills communication gaps between development and design teams. The final deliverables included mockups for both client-side and internal users and an agency-wide presentation. The website compiled commonly used elements into an interface accessible by sales, designers, and developers.
WeBuildIt allowed me to find my niche: connection design and development. I was able to communicate the needs of both developers and designers in one project. The final database aimed to work especially well on short, low-budget projects. It also addressed a rising tension in the agency -- helping sales, development, and design to become friends again.
WeBuildIt was a turning point in the way I thought about design and development. It was the first time I was able to connect my design and code skills outside of a typical website. Designing WeBuildIt was my first experience working on internal software aimed to resolve a problem, compared to the promotional landing pages I'd worked with before. I also had my first experience in creating a project timeline. Ultimately, this project and internship lead me to discover my passion - connecting developers and designers through communication.
